To the Spectator newsroom,
I am asking Spectator to commit more resources to sustained, document-led investigations of power at Columbia.
Please pursue and regularly update the questions that matter most:
• In the Hadden case, which University leaders knew what, when did they know it, and which promises to survivors remain unfulfilled?
• In the Epstein-related admissions and fundraising revelations, what records show how normal safeguards failed, who was accountable, and what has changed?
• Which major decisions are Columbia’s trustees making behind closed doors, and how are their claims, conflicts, and commitments being independently tested?
• When Columbia and federal officials offer the same public narrative, what evidence supports it, who bears the consequences, and whose voices are missing?
Spectator has reported on these subjects. I am asking for deeper follow-through: obtain records, independently verify official claims, protect vulnerable sources, publish clear corrections, and track institutional promises until readers know what actually happened.
Please treat this as a request for stronger public-interest journalism—not as permission to target or endanger individual student reporters.
